At The Brick, we aim to explore every possible trend within the health and fitness sector that might benefit our members. Back in 2015, we were the first Belgian gym to bring Animal Flow to our country. But being on trend is not enough: we encourage our trainers to evolve as they teach and keep finding new ways to better serve our members. That’s why we’re proud to announce that Chris de Feyter, who has been teaching the class for the last three years, has graduated from the Budokon University in Miami.
So, what is Animal Flow?
“Animal Strenght & Mobility is a full bodyweight training class. The class focuses on the entire body – to make you stronger, leaner and more agile. These assets will allow you to physically become stronger, more athletic and a more functional mover.”
“The class contains influences & aspects from Animal Movement, Calisthenics, Martial Arts, Yoga and Dance seamless enlaced in specific movement patterns based on movement patterns from Animal Locomotion & Mobility Training.”
What were the benefits of training? And why Miami?
“Under the guidance of Kancho Cameron Shayne, I learnt to become more than a typical instructor. The Budokon University in Miami unites yoga, martial arts, and callisthenics. The multi-disciplinary system is created to evolve and transform an instructor into a more agile, powerful, mobile and knowledgeable mixed movement arts educator. My teacher, Cameron Shayne, is somewhat known as a teacher of teachers. It’s an unparalleled experience, one that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.”
